perdue.

the darkness was impeding. her hands were ghastly, translucent, purple veins contrasting strikingly against her pale skin. she looked upwards, towards the stars, moon and everything above. drawing her hands to the sky, she started to twirl, lost in a world of her own. this girl, she was more terrified of reality than her worst nightmares. her blue-grey eyes skimmed over the skyline, barely visible. her body began to move toward it, her mind had disappeared into ashes. her bruised feet took slow, careful steps, the earth cold. her arms were stretched out like a bird, as though she was trying to catch the ocean breeze. her head rolled from side to side, a puppeteer pulling it this way and that. then, she stopped moving. her toes curled over the edge. she looked downwards, towards the water, waves and everything below. drawing her hands to the sea, she started to fall, lost in a world of her own. this girl, she was more terrified of reality than the thought of her heart losing its beat.
